Natuurlijk mag u na de invoering van de directe toegankelijkheid nog steeds eerst een afspraak maken bij de huisarts, maar het is niet verplicht.
Soms is een verwijzing van uw huisarts alsnog nodig. Bijvoorbeeld als u een recente botbreuk of operatie heeft gehad, bepaalde medicijnen (chronische ziekten) gebruikt of als u kanker heeft (gehad).
